About Us

Cherish Bryck

Having left her desk job behind a few years ago, Cherish decided to let her camera lead her, resulting in Cherish Bryck Photography. Running her own photography business has created a happy balance between pursuing her passion and the demanding life of a mom with a young family.   She never forgets to laugh at her crazy antics, enjoy a glass of wine and impose ‘time-outs’…for herself.

With a BA in Art and Cultural Studies from SFU, Cherish has been a part of a number of award winning creative teams over the past decade. Her photography client list includes The Social Agency, The Donnelly Group, The Food Bank, DOXA, Grooster as well as numerous weddings and family portraits.  Her work has been featured on Shutter Sisters, Mortal Muses, VancouverMom, TedxKidsBC and various other digital photography forums.  She attended Shutter Sisters Camp last year and will be joining the camaraderie again this fall.

You can find Cherish in her other digital homes on Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, EastSideWest and Pinterest.

Tamar Haytayan

Photography has played in important role in Tamar’s life for the past 20 years. However, it is only in the last two years that the medium has become a way of life for her. Like any parent, Tamar is always trying to find the balance between work and caring for her young family. It is at times challenging but the rewards of following and shooting from her heart are immense. Tamar is usually on or around The Drive visiting the local playgrounds and coffee shops or grocery shopping for her latest cooking adventures, with children in tow.

With a photography degree from The Arts University College at Bournemouth as well as a postgraduate diploma in business and french, Tamar worked in London for a few years before spending one year volunteering in Armenia. It is there that she ran the country’s first English speaking radio show which, once in Vancouver, led to her contributions to Outfront on CBC Radio as well as a couple of articles for The Tyee. In the photography field, Tamar’s client list include Line21, UBC Department of Family Practice, Mary Jo Fetterly, and Lift Studios. Tamar’s work has also been featured on Shutter Sisters and Mortal Muses. Recently, Tamar took part in Xanthe Berkeley’s Creating Time Capsules and she will be attending Oasis later this year.
